Operational Amplifier is a sharp, forward-leaning display font by Ray Larabie built with a stencil-style construction - small breaks split the strokes in letters like O, G, and S, echoing old LCD readouts and circuit-board silkscreen text. The italic slant adds a sense of speed and precision on top of that retro-tech texture.
That combination of stencil cuts and LCD-inspired detailing makes it a strong fit for retro electronics or hi-fi equipment branding, sci-fi HUD and interface mockups, gaming and tech logos, or a circuit-board themed poster. It works best set large as a headline or logotype rather than for body text, where the stencil breaks would hurt readability.
