Akbar Plain
Loose marker handwriting in the style of Matt Groening
Looking for the Simpsons font? We have got you covered. Akbar Plain (also searched as "Akbar font") is styled after Matt Groening's handwriting used in The Simpsons TV show.
What it looks like
Akbar Plain is a loose, rounded marker handwriting font with thick, slightly wobbly strokes and uneven letter heights. The capital M has big looping peaks, the G and Q have a casual hand-drawn curl, and the I has little serifs on top and bottom. Uppercase and lowercase are close in shape, and it includes numbers, @, #, $, %, & and a small star, so it handles real sentences and not just titles.
Ideas for using it
- Simpsons-themed party invitations, cake toppers and birthday banners
- Fan art, memes and Springfield style signs
- Cartoon-style captions, comic dialogue and kids' classroom posters
- Handwritten notes and labels that need a friendly, goofy tone
