Probably not much noticeable from the outside, but I’ve been busy getting DailyFont to work a little faster.
Biggest change is that the font images are now much smaller, but thanks to the PNG format are compressed without any loss of quality so everything will look the same.
Also enabled the opcache in PHP which appears to be cutting load time in about half. Since it makes that much of a difference, I’m not quite sure why it’s not enabled by default. But either way, it’s enabled now and the site is much snappier because of it.
And did a bit of theme tweaking for a few minor fixes.
The biggest visible change is that fonts that include demo images as part of the zip will now have those images shown on their pages. These typically are images created by the font authors as a showcase so it’s a good way to see what the font looks like in use.
